Kuhio Beach / Queen's Surf (Duke Kahanamoku Statue)

This special pro-style surf competition begins with the intent to help encourage surfing among Hawai‘i’s youths and introduce them to the Legacy of Duke Kahanamoku and his spirit of aloha. For many, this will be their first experience in the competitive surfing world. Each registered participant receives a Duke Kahanamoku Ocean Festival Commemorative T-Shirt! Awards and Prizes to the Finalist.

Athletes who have participated in NSSA or HASA or any other organized competitive surfing branch are strictly prohibited.
Menehune Surfers can only enter one age group and board type division, no multiple entries allowed.

Duke Kahanamoku Ocean Festival 501(c)(3) is held each summer in Waikiki in honor of Hawaiian legend Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, who is fondly remembered as the greatest waterman who ever lived. Held at venue sites throughout Waikiki , Duke Kahanamoku Ocean Festival features a variety of ocean sports that were close to Duke’s heart, including Surfing, Paddleboard Racing, Swimming, Volleyball, and more.
